Ever since he was thirteen years old Sid Phelps has enjoyed playing his guitar.
In 2008, Sid starting playing shows locally around Troy, AL and overtime word of mouth had spread his name as far north as Lake Martin. With a set list made up of classic country, classic rock and even a few originals, Sid’s got something to keep everyone at the party tapping their toe. Make no mistake though; Sid’s music is deeply rooted in the country he grew up on.

So far 2012 is looking to be one of the best years of his young career. In February, Sid won the coveted Kowaliga Idol on Lake Martin. This fall Phelps will release of his debut album “Front Porch Sessions.” The album features six songs written by Phelps and hosts a group of amazing musicians. During the warmer months Sid is a regular at Chuck’s Marina, Niffer’s, and a host of other spots on beautiful Lake Martin. “The past few months of work have been outstanding,’ he said. “I’ve been playing the normal summer circuit and getting ready for a great fall.” All in all there’s never been a better time to catch Sid Phelps in a town near you.
