Music Garden is proud to announce a deal to represent Rhythm Nation Band from Atlanta, Georgia.  Rhythm Nation, lead by Eric Snipes, has grown into a regional favorite for weddings, company parties, and college events.  This is a band that always, ALWAYS gets great feedback.   We have wanted this band on our exclusive roster for years so it will be fun to finally get to have them perform for our planners and other clients.

Rhythm Nation plays every type of music from Cocktail-type Jazz to today's Top 40 and Hip Hop with everything in between- Oldies, Motown,  Rock, 80's, 90's, Swing. You name it –They play it!

Music Garden has enjoyed booking entertainment for private events for the Southeast region and Texas region of the country since the early 90's.  In the last few years, more and more requests have come in for our bands in different parts of the United States.  Clients have booked Musical Fantasy in Newport, Rhode Island;  Trotline in Detroit, Michigan;  Az-Izz in West Palm Beach, Florida;  Creativity in Richmond, Virginia; Tip Tops in San Diego, California;  The list goes on.  Our bands are becoming nationally recognized and are in demand.  Our company is proud to launch a concentrated plan to become America’s “Best”  and “Most Reliable” band booking source for wedding receptions, corporate parties, conventions, and other private events.

Kool and The Gang and Music Garden’s own Compozitionz have been chosen to perform for the Nissan Anniversary event at Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday May 25. This concert will start at 4:30 pm and promises to be a great turnout. Nissan is giving back to the city that houses one of its many manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. Compozitionz is bringing in the full deluxe package to support Kool and The Gang. Expect a 13 pc ensemble to include 4 male vocalists, 3 female vocalists and a horn section on stage to display all the trademark dance moves and choreographed medleys. Kool and The Gang will follow to headline at 7 pm to play all of their hits including one of the biggest Soul Hits of all time- “Celebration”.

After booking the incredible dance and show band, Heart to Heart band, for close to 20 years, Music Garden is proud to enter into an exclusive agreement with the band.  Music Garden Entertainment will be booking wedding receptions, rehearsal parties, mardi gras balls, festivals, proms, and other dances for Heart to Heart.  This arrangement is long over due and this is something our whole staff is very excited about!  The band is soon to launch a new video that you are going to want to see, but for now, see the link below.

Montgomery, Alabama’s "Second Saturday" drew 11,000 people last weekend for the performance of Fly By Radio.  Fly By Radio is perhaps the most well know 80s and 90s rock band in the southeast.  This event is growing every month.

Auburn, Alabama's Alpha Psi Rodeo sold out once again! The Saturday, April 13th Event welcomed fans from colleges all over the nation.  People traveled from as far asTexas, Virginia, Kentucky and South Florida to see and hear Brantley Gilbert, Kip Moore and Wes Loper Band.  Music Garden's agent Michael Wright, who helps coordinate the event, reported that this year's concert was better than ever!

After many requests from brides, some of the Music Garden Corporate and wedding bands have elected to add an upgrade option to play straight through without break for 3 and ½ hours.  In order to accomplish this, they add two to three members so that they can keep the energy up the entire night while performing not only the early jazz and cocktail standards but all dance songs from Motown music to the high energy Hip Hop and Top 40 songs.  Party bands that are offering this option include Georgia R&B and Top 40 sensation, Az Izz, Mobile, Alabama party and dance bands Musical Fantasy, 4 Barrel Funk, and Powerhouse,  Alabama dance and show band 2^nd Coming, Florida variety band, Black Jacket, Mississippi  Motown and Soul band, Compozitionz, and Georgia party bands, City Heat and Executive Soul.  More of the bands are working on this option as well.

Kudos to Donica Knight who is one of the members and singers of the dance and party band, Lucky Town.  Donica has been playing with Lucky Town for fraternity parties, sorority parties, wedding receptions, and mardi gras balls for two years. She has a country solo album and recently opened for Kenny Rogers in Montgomery, Alabama.  Donica is also scheduled to appear on a daytime slot at the Toadlick Music Festival in Dothan, Alabama on Saturday, April 13.  The staff and agents of Music Garden are proud that this Millbrook, Alabama girl is having success.  Go out and support Donica Knight with Lucky Town and with her solo efforts.

Huntington College in Montgomery will have Grace Potter perform for CloverJam.  The concert booked by Music Garden starts at 8 p.m. in Roland Arena on the historic campus of Huntington College. Grace Potter with her band, Nocturnals, has recently been on tour  in Europe with The Avett Brothers.  She is excited to be coming back to the U.S. and is looking forward to performing for college students on the campus of Huntington. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist Grace Potter is known for her vocal qualities (sometimes compared to rock and blues cult singers like Janis Joplin or Koko Taylor) as well as for her vibrant energy on stage. Besides playing in the Nocturnals (of which she was a founder, along with drummer Matt Burr and guitarist Scott Tournet), she has released solo material and collaborated with other artists.

Moon Taxi has been booked by Music Garden for an Auburn University fraternity event in April.  This is one great college band from Nashville, Tennessee that has completely developed their own incredible distinct sound.  Moon Taxi was founded in 2006 by Trevor Terndrup (vocals, guitar), Tommy Putnam (bass), Spencer Thomson (guitar, programming), Tyler Ritter (drums), and Wes Bailey (keys) while attending Belmont University.  After playing nightclubs, festivals, and fraternities throughout the Southeast for over six years, the band has become one of the bigger college bands in the region.
