Uptown Drive features a "Certified Original Lineup" meaning we rehearse, choreograph and perform with the same members at each and every event! This sounds like it would be the norm (and it should be) but there are some established entertainment organizations that will contract events first then piece together the band's personnel from a pool of musicians... some of whom are more qualified than others and in some cases may be their first time playing for that band. This franchising practice is becoming more common in the Austin wedding band industry so we urge our friends and potential clients to do their due diligence when researching bands. PRO TIP: make sure that the musicians featured in promotional materials you watch are actually members of the bands you're looking into!
