BIG GIGANTIC is going to be doing a very special run of dates in March/April/and possibly May at fraternities. The band wants to 'take it back to where it all started' and they’re going to be handpicking 10-20 fraternity plays for this timeframe.

The vision is to play at the fraternity house or in some instances, where it makes sense, the fraternity could rent a venue if that is easier.  Either way, these would need to be 100% private for fraternity members and their guests.  No tickets can be sold in any fashion.

Knowing that budgets for these plays are usually limited, they are quoting anywhere from $10K-$25K depending on the market, day of the week, routing, etc.

If you are interested in booking a date- reach out to Michael Wright at 334-221-6453 or email at

From the Montgomery Advertiser: 'The band [Whiskey River] came from Tuscaloosa to play favorite country hits; Stivers Ford rolled in two new leading-edge trucks to add to the excitement; and friends came from near and far to lend a hand of support to MANE, which has been providing equine-assisted intervention to the River Region children and adults since 1994.' read more...

May 1st - Music Garden's Az-IzZ was chosen to perform for thousands of guests for the Taste of Derby to open festivities for Kentucky Derby week. The Taste of Derby raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and awareness for hunger relief organizations. The event featured a roster of award winning chefs and horse racing celebrities from destinations on the road to the Kentucky Derby including Miami, FL, Los Angeles, California, New Orleans, Louisiana, New York City, Toronto, Little Rock, Arkansas and of course, Louisville, KY.

What a weekend for Music Garden wedding bands.  Through the years, our bands have played wedding receptions for professional athletes, governors, and celebrities all over the south.  This Saturday, both Az Izz and Musical Fantasy were both chosen to perform forTexas ranch receptions.

Musical Fantasy had a tough task of impressing a crowd full of musicians as the groom was a manager for some elite groups.  As always, the band did not disappoint.  They built the night into a huge party ending with members of Mumford and Sons on stage at the end of the night.  If the band is good enough to impress Mumford and Sons, they are good enough to  perform for you!

Az-Izz performed at Kings Ranch for guests that included among many other well known Texans, Miss Texas and Face The Nation’s Bob Schieffer.    Az Izz was chosen to perform the reception by the bride and the groom, whose family runs King’s Ranch.

This year’s Alpha Psi Rodeo will be held on Saturday, April 12. The headlining act is Alan Jackson! Supporting artists will be announced soon.

Alpha Psi Rodeo is an amateur rodeo, presented by the only male fraternity associated with the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. The rodeo is the largest single fundraising event conducted by students in Auburn.

Dating back to 1965, the event has taken place in the spring of each year for the last 49 years. Rodeo contestants consist of Auburn students as well as individuals not affiliated with Auburn University. Team contestants consist primarily of small groups formed within fraternities and sororities. Come watch these brave souls give their best efforts at bull riding, bronc riding, calf-roping, calf-wrestling, and tug of war.

Following the rodeo, there will be a band for your entertainment. The crowd has grown bigger each year, and includes local citizens, students, faculty, and alumni. In addition, Alpha Psi Rodeo has gained attendees from multiple universities across the southeast including: UGA, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Florida State, Clemson, Ole Miss, and Alabama.

Each individual ticket contributes to the cause of the event; the contributions are primarily donated to local charities and organizations, as well as providing quality entertainment for the event. On behalf of Alpha Psi Fraternity, we thank everyone who attended the 49th Annual Alpha Psi Rodeo, and became a part of one of the greatest events at Auburn. We hope it was rewarding for each attendee and can continue as one of Auburn’s greatest parties during the nicest time of year

Trotline played recently on an estate near Detroit, Michigan and just contracted a date for a party in Chicago, Illinois.  The band has played thousands of fraternity parties since the late '90's.  People that attended those shows have graduated and moved all over the the United States and remember the great times they had dancing to Trotline.  The band is excited to travel to all areas of the United States.

Musical Fantasy Band has started playing more destination ranch wedding receptions in the state of Texas.  The Mobile, Alabama-based, eleven-piece dance band has performed wedding receptions from South Florida all the way up the coast to Newport, Rhode Island.  For years the band has played two or three receptions per year in Dallas, Texas and San Antonio, Texas.  Musical Fantasy just booked two back-to-back  Texas ranch weddings near Houston and one near Dallas for March of 2014.  The band leader Sylvester Parsons says: "I love it. We want to keep playing to the West!"
